I am a mental health professional and semi professional photographer in Northern Nevada. Photography and my animals are my way of doing "self care". You may notice I have quite a few photos of horses, most are wild horses here in Nevada. Nevada is home to somewhere around 70% of all the wild horses living in the United States. Unfortunately Nevada does not appreciate the herds as much as I do, and they are talking about destroying about 90,000 of them. This is very frustrating and upsetting to me because I am an animal lover and feel that they have been on this land a lot longer than we have, we should try to enjoy and relish them instead of destroying them. So this is my way of allowing others to see what we Nevadans have as a state treasure and hopefully inform other Americans about these wonderful creatures.
